Mr. Stefano Biondo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the UQAM and a Master’s degree in Information Science from the University of Montréal. Over the past few years, he has developed an expertise in the management and dissemination of geospatial data within academic libraries. He is behind the creation of the Centre d’information géographique et statistique (Centre GéoStat) of the Library of the Université Laval, where he has been map librarian since 2005, and participates in the acquisition, reservation, and development of cartographic and geospatial collections. He also co-authored the recently-published book L’Apparition du Nord selon Gérard Mercator.
